Condolences

Condolence From: Janice Eger
Condolence: To all of you I send love and condolences on the anniversary of your mom's passing. I often think of her, I used to play bridge in her house on Maple Rd. But Dixie sold it and now lives in Calgary. Your mom was an amazing woman and I loved our visits at your home, she made the best coffee from freshly ground beans not to mention all the delicious pastries ha.

Condolence: I don't think there are many memories of my childhood that doesn't involve Mrs Eger. From a small child, she made the world more creative, more fun, more musical and more delicious! Once I became an educator and learned more about early childhood education and the role of parents in a child's learning, I realized that Mrs Eger was a pioneer in cooperative nursery school! Even at Oise, they would mention her name with reverence.
Once I was asked what was she like, and I had to think. She was our next door neighbour who called her children with a loud yoo hoo, she baked the best bread ever, she gave piano lessons to anyone around, she played huckle buckle bean stock. She camped, picked blueberries, and once made us fill her bra with them because we didn't have any pails. We giggled all the way back to the campsite.
She wrote me a letter once and said she was sad in a way to see us grow into adults as we would lose our child personalities forever, and she had so enjoyed them! Now, isn't that what every one wants in a teacher. Yes, Mrs Eger was my neighbourhood teacher.
I was privileged to have known the Egers and especially blessed to have known Mrs Eger!
My sincere condolences.

Condolence: I remember Aunt Glady as a beautiful, kind & loving lady. She was always so soft spoken, but you listened intently as her words showed you she cared about you. She listened to you because she cared. She was a very special lady!

Condolence: I remember Gladys as a special and wonderful person with many attributes that she willingly shared with others. An accomplished pianist, I loved to hear her play. She was interesting herself and interested in others and made everyone around her feel welcome. She was dedicated to Fritz and to her children. She had a great sense of humor that she shared with all of her grandchildren and others in her circle. I especially appreciated the kind of grandmother she was to my daughter Elizabeth over the years, staying in touch and often writing long letters and sending small gifts, despite the significant distance. Sending prayers and condolences to all of the Eger family. May your many memories of her sustain you and bring you peace.

Condolence: To the Eger family: I would like at this time to send my condolences to the extended family and friends who knew Gladys. I was honoured to have known her for a few years, and also with a very supportive family besides. She may be gone but her memories will always be edged in the hearts of who knew her. Rest in Peace Gladys.
