June Lois Abbotts
June 5, 1928 - January 18, 2017

Suddenly and unexpectedly the angels came. June was blessed with good physical and mental health through to her last day on earth. A long time resident of Thornbury and a familiar face to many. After all she was Miss Beaver Valley 1946. June had a passion for fashion and enjoyed puttin' on the ritz! She had an interest in gardening and a keen eye and fancy for automobiles. Her daughter Tammy was the light of her life, always in her thoughts. June moved into Collingwood Chartwell Retirement Lodge six years ago where she made many great friends and continued to lead an active life. She enjoyed regular outings with her dear friend Carolyn Fisher. June is predeceased by her husband Kenneth Lloyd Abbotts and sisters Betty Devlin and Babette Siegrist and survived by her daughter Tammy Abbotts, her favourite son-in-law Max Hahne, her sisters Ruth Gransden and Dorothy McFarlane, brothers Bob and Vernon Siegrist, nieces and nephews and her precious little dog and constant companion JayLo. The family would like to thank the staff (June's friends) at Chartwell for making her smile more, laugh harder and being her extended family. In lieu of flowers a donation to the charity of your choice is appreciated. A celebration of life will be held at Chartwell (date to be arranged) and a private family service will take place in the spring.
