Cecil Harold Taylor
May 13, 1921 – July 13, 2017
Cecil passed away peacefully at the Collingwood Nursing Home. He was a veteran of WW II (Princess Louise Dragoon Guards Regiment). Cecil is predeceased by his beloved wife Ruth (2014). He will be remembered as a loving father of Cecilia and her husband Stephen Burke, Judyann Lounsbury (husband the late Guy) and Brian and his wife Rachel Taylor; cherished grandfather of Amanda and Alex Royal, Johanna Meesters, Jennifer Burke and Michael Burke; great grandfather of Cassandra and Joseph Nheta; great great grandfather of Shayla. Survived by his brother Herb of Lethbridge, Alberta; predeceased by brother Russell and sisters Freda and Jean. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the Collingwood Nursing Home for the loving care they gave him in the time spent there. Visitation will held at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday July 16, 2017. Funeral service will take place in the chapel at 11 a.m. on Monday July 17, 2017. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Collingwood. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
