Condolence: Dear Carolyn and all Family members. Please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of your father. There really are few words that give comfort at a time like this but know in your hearts that he is resting in the arms of the Lord.

Condolence From: David Thomas
Condolence: We are deeply saddened to learn about Don's death. Luckily, I have years of wonderful memories of Don to bring him clearly to mind. During the mid 1940's we spent many weekends and a few weeks each summer learning to march when we were members of the Sea Cadet Corp. at Riverdale Collegiate.
We may not have been great sailors but we learned to wash dishes one summer at Camp Ahmek, an exclusive boys' camp in Algonquin Park. When we weren't working or fighting off the mosquitoes we were able to sail, swim and canoe. We had 2 months worth of wonderful memories and dish pan hands.
In the 50's Don and I were members of an Investment Group- a time when IBM stocks were booming and no one had heard of Ponzi schemes. We used the profits to have a catered pre Christmas couples party in a downtown hotel. Many in the group of 10 married at this time and settled into careers and we disbanded and lost touch.
I remember Don most of all because we lived on the same street in the Beach- Balsam Ave. and I bought his dad's used 1941 Plymouth in 1950 so I could drive to my first teaching job.
Don had a wonderful sense of humour and kind spirit. He was a great guy. Many people wouldn't know that Don could play a mean accordion
