Lewin, John William passed away peacefully on Sunday June 24, 2018 at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital in his 89th year. Survived by his loving wife Margaret, deeply missed and remembered by his children Joseph (Chantal) Lewin, Ruth (Rick) Thompson and Marguerite (Bob) Shaw; grandchildren Jimmy, Scott, Denise, Leah, the late Shane, Dustin, Kimberly and Nick and 9 great grandchildren. John worked at the Collingwood Shipyards for 42 years and was a dedicated long time member of the Salvation Army Church; he was very active in his community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A service of remembrance will be held at the Salvation Army Church at 2 p.m. on Thursday June 28, 2018. In lieu of flowers donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
