Lawrence Robert Montgomery
(April 18th, 1953 - July 17th, 2018)

Lawrence was born in East York Township, raised in Scarborough, ON. Growing up, he was heavily involved in sports like baseball, hockey, and skiing. He spent over 30 years as a dedicated employee for Bell Canada, retiring in 2010 .

Lawrence was the beloved husband of Patricia (Patti), married 39 years. They first began as close friends working for Bell Canada, quickly realizing they were meant to be more. They married May 19th, 1979. They later went on to raise their family in Stouffville, ON.

Lawrence was the proud and loving father of two children, son Brian (Kayla ) and daughter Krista (Jeff). He was devoted entirely to his wife and family. He was a provider, a teacher, and our family's rock. When his children needed him, he never hesitated. He spent his years driving his kids to hockey, weekends at the ski hill with his family and working hard to support them.

He later moved to Collingwood, ON upon his retirement with his wife Patricia, where he spent his days playing golf, skiing at Blue Mtn, and bike riding. He enjoyed his time with his friends and family, both new and old. He always enjoyed a good laugh, a stiff drink, and good company.

We will forever miss the amazing man, husband, father, and the funny goofball he was. We love you with all of our hearts, Patti, Brian (Kayla), Krista (Jeff). We love you.

A celebration of life will be held in his memory July 29th, 2018 beginning at 2pm, held at the Recreation Centre located at 75 Silver Glen Blvd, Collingwood, ON.
