Tom LePoidevin passed away peacefully in Collingwood, Ontario on September 22, 2018. Tom was born in Toronto on October 29, 1933. On March 2, 1963, he married Shirley Elliott. Tom and Shirley lived in Cobham, England, Quebec City, and for most of their married life in Toronto, Ontario where Tom excelled in the Advertising and Marketing Industry. During his long career Tom was employed at several advertising agencies and for 22 years as Marketing Director at Lever Brothers. He was VP of Sales & Marketing at J.M. Schnieders in the 1980s. He concluded his career at KPMG in the 1990s and he and Shirley started the next phase of retired life in Collingwood, Ontario.

Along the way, Tom and Shirley raised their two sons, David and Mark. Tom loved to read, ski, golf, and watch the Blue Jays, Leafs and Argos. He also enjoyed the cinema, PROBUS Club, and his many friends. Tom was a devout Baha’i and his faith brought him comfort after Shirley passed on March 13, 2003.

Tom was predeceased by his parents, Mildred and Tom Sr. and also by his wife, Shirley. He is survived by his sons David (Teresa) of Vancouver and Mark of Collingwood. He will be missed by his loving grandchildren Alexander and Lucy. The family is forever grateful to his caregiver Gillian Anderson, and also to the cherished friends who brought Tom much joy in his final years.

In keeping with his faith, a Baha’i ceremony was held for Tom on September 24, 2018. Tom was laid to rest with Shirley at the United Cemetery in Collingwood. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at 12 noon on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Fawcett Funeral Home, 82 Pine Street, Collingwood, Ontario.
