I was shocked and dismayed to learn of Arnold's illness and subsequent passing. I'll always have fond memories of his signature mannerisms when he controlled the ONTARS net, and the times we worked together to help other ham radio operators. He made a big difference in the lives of many a ham and will be sorely missed.

Dad was the greatest person I ever knew. There are no words to describe what his loss will mean to my family and me in particular. Quick to lend a hand to friend,family or stranger,Dad was generous and kind to all who met him. Even in his final days and hours, he never complained, never let on he was upset or worried. He was my mentor, my very best friend and my rock when things were tough. I will miss him so much. He loved my Mom and said so often as the end approached. With his last breath, he held her hand and squeezed it one final time as though to give her comfort. He is the strongest person I have ever known. I love and miss you Dad. Dan

Although I only met Arnold once in person I did talk to him many many times over the past years on the radio. I felt as if he was a good friend. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all of his amateur radio friends. Rest In Peace Arnold and my condolences to his family.
